SAMPLE ITINERARY
Day 1: Brisbane - Fraser Island
Depart Brisbane at 8.45am.Enjoy an orientation tour of the city and opal demonstration, then journey north alongthe Sunshine Coast to Hervey Bay for the ferry crossing to Fraser Island. Tonight enjoya welcome drink and dinner with your Tour Director.

Day 2: Fraser Island 4WD
Join your 4WD vehicle for a half-daytour of the island. Marvel at the majestic rainforest at Central Station. Visit LakeMcKenzie, a beautiful freshwater lake surrounded by white sandy beaches. B
Day 3: Yeppoon
Return to the mainland, and stop at LangmornStation, a fully operational cattle station. Enjoy afternoon tea at the homestead, arestored 'Queenslander' built in 1873. Cross the Tropic of Capricorn and continue tothe coastal resort of Yeppoon. Dine out this evening, on crocodile of course, at theKoorana Crocodile Farm. Home to around 3,000 crocodiles, your guide will take you on aspotlight tour, where a visit to the pens will reveal crocodiles as small as 150 gramsand as large as 750 kilograms!

Day 4: Daydream Island Resort & Spa
Travel north throughMackay, Australia's sugar capital, before continuing to Airlie Beach, a gateway to theWhitsunday Islands. At Airlie Beach we take a ferry across to Daydream Island, in theheart of the Great Barrier Reef.

Day 5: Daydream Island 'Free Time'
Enjoy a day at leisure toexplore Daydream Island, located in the beautiful Whitsundays. There are sailboardingand catamaran classes. You have the opportunity to take a rainforest walk, play beachvolleyball, tennis, water polo or you could go snorkelling or kayaking. Perhaps justlaze by one of the pools or on a beach or replenish your body and soul at theRejuvenation Spa. Ask your Tour Director for details. B
Day 6: Townsville
Head north to the tropical city ofTownsville. This afternoon is free for you to relax at the hotel. Or perhaps take astroll along The Strand, Townsville's beachfront promenade, for a magnificent view ofthe Port of Townsville and Magnetic Island. You can walk along the jetty or watch theworld go by in one of the cafes.

Day 7: Atherton Tablelands
Climb the high tropical plateauknown as the Atherton Tablelands, where lush rainforests, waterfalls and lakes abound.Visit Millaa Millaa Falls and the famous Curtain Fig Tree. Enjoy a guided cruise on theserene crater of Lake Barrine, before making our way to Port Douglas.

Day 8: Port Douglas 'Free Time'
A day at leisure in Port Douglas. There is the opportunity to explore World Heritage listed rainforest, join a guided cruise on the Daintree River to perhaps spot the fearless saltwater crocodile or try hot air ballooning on the Atherton Tablelands. B
Day 9: Great Barrier Reef
Join the Quicksilver catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a reefeducation presentation and view the spectacular coral and tropical fish from theunderwater observatory and the semi-submersible craft. There is the opportunity to gosnorkelling and view this natural living wonder up-close (equipment provided). Enjoy adelicious tropical buffet lunch before we return to Port Douglas and travel on toCairns.

Day 10: Kuranda
Board the Kuranda train for an historic journey taking you through the scenic countryside behind Cairns. Arrive at the cultural rainforest village of Kuranda with time to wander through the various stalls of the colourful Kuranda Markets. Later, board the Skyrail Cableway that takes you above the canopy of the tropical rainforest of the Barron Gorge National Park.Visit the famous Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Experience the History, Creative and Dance Theatres where the legends of the Dreamtime are brought to life. B D
Day 11: Depart Cairns
Your tour concludes today afterbreakfast. You will be transferred to Cairns Airport for your onward flight. B
