Learn the history

Day 1: Arrive Brisbane

Day 2: City Sights
This morning hear about the history of this beautiful city and see why people love to call Brisbane home. Visit Kangaroo Point and Bartley’s Lookouts where you will have a fantastic birds-eye view of this subtropical capital. Brisbane is rich in history and this tour will take you past many historical and significant architectural buildings, including City Hall, Parliament House, St Johns Cathedral, Treasury Casino and China Town. This afternoon is at leisure.
Day 3: Australia Zoo
This tour goes directly to and from Australia Zoo, made famous by the Crocodile Hunter, the late Steve Irwin and Terri Irwin and their global documentaries. You will have time to experience the best of Australia Zoo. This wildlife Theme Park is too good to rush. Spend almost 6 hours seeing the many shows and demonstrations including crocodile feeding and snake handling. The handlers even walk some animals through the park so you can get ‘up close and personal’. The Zoo has a team of over 500 who believe in conservation through exciting education, who will ensure you have a wildlife experience you’ll never forget. View the majestic Glasshouse Mountains bordered by pineapple plantations and pine forests as you travel along the Glasshouse Mountains scenic route on your return to Brisbane.
Day 4: Depart Brisbane

Day 1: Arrive Cairns
On arrival at Cairns Airport you will be transferred to your hotel (flights anytime, airfare not included). The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore this vibrant city. Take a bushwalk or simply relax in one of the many cafes or on the beach. Browse the Night Markets and the Pier Marketplace.

Day 2: Great Barrier Reef
Join the Great Adventures catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a reef education presentation and view the spectacular coral and tropical fish from the Underwater Observatory and the semi-submersible craft. There is the opportunity to go snorkelling and view this natural living wonder up close (equipment provided). Enjoy a delicious tropical buffet lunch. Return to Cairns early evening.
Day 3: Kuranda - Skyrail - Tjapukai
Board the Kuranda train for a historic journey taking you through the scenic countryside behind Cairns. Arrive at the cultural rainforest village of Kuranda with time to wander through the various stalls of the Kuranda Markets. Later, board the Skyrail Cableway that takes you above the canopy of the Barron Gorge National Park. Visit the famous Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Experience the History, Creative
and Dance theatres where the legends of the Dreamtime are brought to life.
Day 4: Depart Cairns

Day 2: Great Barrier Reef
An experience of a lifetime today - cruise out to an underwater world that is a dazzling kaleidoscope of colour and brilliance - Agincourt Reef at the very edge of Australia’s Continental Shelf. It is a magnificent ribbon reef where you can experience first hand the magic that is the Great Barrier Reef. You can dive, snorkel or just stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a Quicksilver semi-submersible craft, just one metre underwater. Watch the fish feeding from Quicksilver’s unique underwater viewing platform and underwater observatory. Enjoy a delicious tropical buffet lunch before returning to Port Douglas.
Day 3: Kuranda - Skyrail - Tjapukai
Today board the famous Kuranda Railway at Freshwater Station. Enjoy a breathtaking trip on one of the world’s most scenic operational rail journeys. On arrival in Kuranda, there is free time to take a stroll through the famous Kuranda Markets. Return to the lowlands by the Skyrail Cableway which takes you above the canopy of the tropical rainforest. Visit the award- winning Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, where the legends of The Dreamtime are brought to life. Learn about this ancient culture through theatre, stage shows and demonstrations. Later return to your hotel.
