Ongoing Contstruction:
Airlie Beach Marina is currently undergoing extensive construction making way for the new Port of Airlie. The project is expected to take between 4 and 6 years to complete. While the noisy works are quite some distance away, it is only background noise that can be heard on occasions. The construction is visible from a majority of Airlie Beach accommodation however, views of the Whitsunday passage are still visible from most accommodation.
