The First Step
Your initial enquiries about organising your wedding at Voyages Brampton Island
can be made through us.
We will assist you with any questions you may have regarding organising your
special day. We will assist in organising your wedding package and any guest
requirements relating to accommodation, flights and transfers.
Once the accommodation and wedding package have been booked, your details will
be forwarded to the Wedding Coordinator at Brampton Island. The Wedding Coordinator
will contact you for the finer details and arrangements regarding the ceremony
and your special day.
The Location
Brampton Island is the perfect setting for a wedding celebration of just two,
or up to 212 guests. No matter what the size is of your celebration, you will
be offered personal service and attention to detail.
Where Do You Hold Your Ceremony?
Upon arrival at Brampton Island you will be shown the different sites for you
to choose your ceremony location. For a unique ceremony experience, you can
exchange your vows on a number of different beaches located around Brampton
Island. Alternatively, if you prefer a garden wedding with an ocean view, then
the resort is a perfect location for your special moment. Brampton Island book
one wedding a day to ensure you have an exclusive wedding and therefore your
choice of ceremony location.
Getting There
Regular flights are available from all Australian capital cities connecting
to Mackay daily, with Virgin Blue and Qantas. Jetstar operates regular connecting
flights from Brisbane to Mackay. Virgin Blue flights to/from Mackay connect
with the boat transfer to/from Brampton Island.
Australasian Jet operate flights
daily from Mackay to Brampton Island (transfer time 15 minutes) and from Hamilton
Island to Brampton Island (transfer time 20 minutes).
How Will Your Friends Travel To & From Brampton
Island?
By distributing your invitations well in advance, your guests can easily make
arrangements to book flights and accommodation through us.
Your celebrant
Once you have confirmed your wedding date with the Wedding Coordinator, a marriage
celebrant who will conduct the ceremony will then be confirmed for you. You
are of course able to choose your own celebrant, should you wish to do so. The
marriage celebrant will discuss with you the legal procedures, as well as the
ceremony content.
Legal requirements
To marry in Australia you must be 18 years of age or over.
Documents required consist of:
- Birth Certificate
- Valid 10 year passport
- If divorced – Decree Absolute
- If widowed – Death Certificate of former spouse and previous Marriage Certificate
- If your name has changed by deed poll – legal proof
- Notice of Intended Marriage – available from Australian Embassy in your country
Originals of all documents including Notice of Intended Marriage are required at the resort before the ceremony.
Flowers
A wedding bouquet for the bride and a button hole for the groom are included
in your wedding package. Additional flowers can be arranged for your ceremony
or reception.
Wedding Cake
A wedding cake for the bride and groom is included in the wedding package. At
an additional cost, the coordinator can coordinate a larger cake to cater for
your needs.
Cake options are available upon request.
Your Reception
The Wedding Coordinator can tailor a reception to suit the size and style of
your wedding.
Brampton Island offers a variety of indoor and outdoor reception options.
Your Wedding Coordinator will ensure that you and your guests leave Brampton
Island with lifelong memories of your special day.
Can your absent friends send messages on your
wedding day?
Telegrams, emails, faxes and letters will be delivered personally to you.
Contact/email details will be given to you once a booking has been made.
