The Great Barrier Reef is another obvious must see and there are dozens of tours and diving trips available to take you there. You can do a day trip or a live aboard extended tour on a luxury yacht or cruiser and snorkel and dive on the outer reef itself. The Daintree Rainforest is one of the last stands of pristine rainforest left in the world and is now world heritage listed. It can be accessed by tour from Cairns or you can actually choose great holiday accommodation right in the rainforest itself.
