Light the flame of the forest… ignite your senses beneath the canopy of the oldest rainforest in the world. Feel the wonder of this legendary place & explore the mysteries of time, culture a& cuisines while dining in the spellbinding candlelit drama that is the enchanted rainforest.
This mystical evening event of dining in the rainforest entertained by Aboriginal storytelling and music takes place over three hours amid the ancient rainforest.
The Event:Journey to a hidden place… you are collected from your accommodation, and leave the highway down a winding road as the forest welcomes you into the night.
In a secluded glade your evening begins… greeted with sparkling wine and hors d’oeuvres…you are introduced to a culture that has been in existence for over forty thousand years.
Dine with other fellow travellers on an award winning tropical banquet including local exotic produce, Australian wines. All this as you sit in flickering candlelight by a rushing mountain creek under the canopy of the rainforest.
They are not a restaurant, but we offer an innovative and fun dining experience in the rainforest.
The evening unfolds as it would have many generations before with an ancient tale from the Aboriginal Dreamtime. After dessert, enjoy some Daintree tea and local coffee, explore the river surrounds or simply sit back & let the sounds of the rainforest tell its own story. And finally, before you depart, if you leave your mark in our handmade book of trees, one tree will be planted from that signature and you will have contributed to preserve local habitats, and these soul nurturing rainforests will last another million years…
Venue:Open on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights from 17th March 2006 until 14th January 2007. Then re-opens 15th March 2007.
The dining location is 15 minutes from Port Douglas, 40 minutes from Palm Cove and 1 hour from Cairns. Prices include coach transfers.
