Coolangatta features some of the most magnificent beaches ever to be found. A real surfer's dreams come true. At the southern end of the Gold Coast, the rugged peninsula of Point Danger gives way to Rainbow Bay where gentle surf offers a safe haven to small children.
Further north is the Greenmount headland, the perfect place to watch the sun rise over crystal waters. On the second Sunday of the month market stalls are set up along the beachfront where you can browse through local arts and crafts.

One attraction that will appeal to most is Lamington National Park, with it's thriving rainforest and many variety's of birds it makes it one of the must sees on your holidays to the Gold Coast, one of the best times to see Lamington National Park is just after a thunderstorm when torrents of water race over waterfalls and the bushland is alive with native wildlife. There are more than 160 kilometers of sign-posted, graded walking tracks to be explored so be sure to pack your hiking boots.
