Whale Watching

Whitehaven Beach Tour Reefworld Day Tour Back to Fantasea Cruises Main Page

Experience the thrill of coming face to face with majestic humpback whales on their annual migration to the warm Whitsunday waters. Every year, from June to September, these gentle giants visit the area to raise their new-born calves in the sheltered waters of the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands.

In previous years Fantasea Adventure Cruising has conducted dedicated Whale Watching cruises, but with the early arrival of the whales this year (2008) along with increased numbers, guests travelling on their daily scheduled cruises to Reefworld on the Great Barrier Reef are being treated to breaching, spy hopping and fluke-up diving. The crews have been instructed to alter course on the Reefworld cruise so that their passengers can get better views of these fascinating mammals.
Please check the Reefworld cruise details on this website for more information.
