Camping Packages: If you are planning a camping holiday, an extensive range of camping equipment is available for hire, with complete packages from $16 per person per night.
Accomodation Packages: Alternatively a range of accommodation options are also available on the island, from Beachside cabins to luxury resorts. Addition Information:All accommodation packages include car hire, accommodation and ferry transfers. Vehicle permits can be arranged through the Bay 4WD office.
Bay 4WD can arrange your ferry transfers and the National Parks and Wildlife permits required for driving and camping on the island.
There are a number of ferries running over to the island each day with the return price for one vehicle, driver and up to three passengers being $145, with any additional passengers at a cost of $10.50 each.
Ferry Times:Fraser Island to Hervey Bay (River Heads)
8.30 am, 9.30 am, 1.30 pm, 2.30 pm, 4.00 pm. National Parks require a vehicle entry permit for the island. The permit is placed inside the windscreen in the same fashion as a registration sticker and costs $36.50. Camping permits: Are required and the tag provided must be displayed on your tent. Costs are $5.50 per person per night. Please note: Ferry fees and National Parks permit fees are subject to change without notice. Whilst every effort is made to keep prices up to date, we advise you to check prices when booking your vehicle.
