Binna Burra is renowned for meals of good quality served with generous portions. The use of the freshest local and regional produce whenever available prepared fresh daily on-site ensures an excellent quality is delivered. Binna Burra purchasing policy favours ecologically friendly suppliers.
The Clifftop Dining Room at the Lodge is open for breakfast and dinner daily plus lunch on weekends. The hearty country style a-la-carte meals are matched only by the sensational views of the Coomera Valley below. All menus include vegetarian and low fat options and the chef is happy to cater for special dietary requirements on request. An exciting wine list and full bar facilities ensures a complete dining experience.
Kids Club
Our younger guests are not forgotten with our kids only 'Echidna Club' (Educating children and developing nature awareness).
Bushwalks, archery, picnics and other rainforest adventures are the reasons why kids want to keep coming back.
They also love the Discovery Forest, an environmental playground where they can learn all about the forces of nature.
Accommodation Information:
The Lodge provides accommodation for a limited number of guests in rustic style cabins with the original buildings built from hand-cut tallow wood slabs. Some of the cabins date back to when the Lodge was first established in the early 1930s and have all been updated with modern amenities, but retain the original character. All cabins offer tea and coffee making facilities, mini-bar, heaters, are non-smoking, and are serviced daily. To help guests leave the outside world behind, televisions and telephones, clocks and radios whilst available in the lodge, are not found in guest rooms.
Three styles of accommodation are available:- Euphrasia Bella rooms are undoubtedly the most popular rooms at the Lodge, very popular with those couples looking for a real treat. These rooms provide balconies with the most commanding views of the Numinbah Valley. Euphrasia Bella Rooms offer queen beds, private shower and toilet facilities and have recently been refurbished.
- Acacia rooms offer panoramic mountain or rainforest views. Rooms have private shower and toilet facilities and are sought after due to their delightful private balconies. Acacia rooms offer double, twin or larger family rooms and all have a charm and character of their own.
- Casuarina rooms are heritage guesthouse style rooms nestled amidst native gardens. These original rooms were designed just to be slept in, as the rest of the time was spent socialising in the guest lounges and enjoying the facilities of the Lodge. Casuarina rooms offer comfortable beds plus wash basin vanity unit. Separate bathroom facilities close to rooms on the same level are shared by just a small number of other guests.

Bushwalking activities in Lamington National Park
Lamington National Park is networked with over 160kms of marked walking tracks. Binna Burra's resident guides are all experienced naturalists and are happy to share their in-depth knowledge of the park ecosystems. By participating in a Guided Walk you will learn about the amazing diversity of the wonderful flora and fauna living in harmony in the lush subtropical rainforest. Every walk is different and there is no telling what you may discover!
Bird Watching
Situated on the eastern side of within Lamington National Park in Southern Queensland, Binna Burra provides the an opportunity to seesight a diverse range of bird species in rainforest and open forest within easy walking distance on graded tracksa relatively small area in close proximity to the Lodge.
More than 150 bird species feature on the Binna Burra bird list. Rainforest specialists include the Noisy Pitta, Albert's Lyrebird, Regent Bowerbird, Pale Yellow Robin, Rose Robin, Rufous Scrub-bird, Paradise Riflebird, Wompooand Rose-crowned Fruit-Dove and Topknot Pigeon. In the spring and summer migrant visitors include Spectacled, Black-faced and White-eared Monarchs, a variety of species of Cuckoos and many more.

Abseil at Binna Burra! Lamington National Park
This is why Binna Burra is the adventure capital of Southern Queensland! Discover the thrill and heart pumping action of Abseiling. An 11mm diameter rope is your lifeline as you rappel down a 10m volcanic escarpment. Then, challenge the knee-shaking, specially selected, 40m or 90m cliff-face. This is always an unforgettable experience. Numbers are limited, so please check availability when planning your visit. Most Wild Walk Escapes include some abseiling adventure.
