Great Keppel Island Holiday Village
Property Information:
Welcome to an island paradise. Are you looking for a beautiful place to rest, walk, snorkel and swim? Well, now you've found it, just off the Central Queensland Capricorn Coast in Australia, halfway between Airlie Beach and Hervey Bay.
The Village atmosphere is what you would expect on an island – low key, with relaxing and lazy days either on the beach or in a hammock, a walk on bushland tracks to deserted beaches, snorkelling, or maybe a kayak or motorised canoe trip to surrounding areas. And then there are the sunsets. A true “Island in the Sun” experience.
To enjoy your island holiday, the village will give you snorkelling gear to use during your stay. They’ll take you on guided motorised canoe trips to some great snorkelling spots. For the more adventurous, they also have guided sea kayak trips to neighbouring islands and beaches, providing drinks and snacks to enjoy while watching the sunset or relaxing on the beach. Destinations depend on wind, tides and weather. There are also a number of excellent bushwalking tracks to explore the Island and take you to isolated beaches.
And then there are the spontaneous activities that happen when the mood and conditions strike the staff to add something new and different for the day.
If you wish for other activities, a Dive Shop offers diving trips to reef areas around neighbouring islands, and jet skis are available for hire. The neighbouring Resort has various water sports available - catamarans, wave boards, water-skiing, parasailing, fishing gear, and sky diving.
For those who love sitting on the beach and enjoy a swim or two, you have your choice of 17 beaches, most of which you can probably have to yourself. And to finish off your day, you can watch the spectacular sunsets from Fisherman’s Beach across to the mainland!
