Surrounded by idyllic coral fringed beaches and lapping the waters of the Coral Sea, on the south-western side of the island, Hayman Island offers 228 guest rooms, suites, penthouses and a beach villa. The accommodation, restaurants, guest service areas, marine facilities and operational plant, have been designed to blend in with the natural beauty of the surroundings. No part of the resort is higher than four stories and throughout, shady ponds and gentle waterfalls thread their way among beautiful gardens, spacious walkways and open air lanais.

LEISURE
Guests can enjoy a diversity of leisure activities within this world-acclaimed resort. There are numerous sporting pursuits, plus tours and classes - some going behind-the-scenes, and special places and activities for peace and solitude.

The resort offer five floodlit tennis courts, two squash courts, a nine-hole putting green, a golf target range plus croquet, table tennis, badminton, snooker and pool, all compliments of Hayman. The Activities Centre offers exercise regimes, personal training and fitness equipment and organises weekly sporting challenges and tennis clinics. Guests can also travel to the mainland for a round of golf at Laguna Whitsundays Resort 18-hole championship course, designed by David Graham.
:: Pools & Spas
One of the largest pools in the Southern Hemisphere, the famous salt-water Hayman Pool surrounds the Pool Wing and incorporates a small heated freshwater pool. The heated freshwater Lagoon Pool is set among tropical gardens in the Lagoon Wing and has two spas nearby.
:: Beaches
The Hayman Beach, lapping the Coral Sea, hugs the resort and offers year-round swimming and catamaran sailing, windsurfing and paddleskiing, all complimentary. On the other side of the island, Blue Pearl Bay One (accessible by foot) and Blue Pearl Bay Two plus nearby Langford Spit (both accessible by speedboat) are ideal for snorkelling and picnic lunches.

Hayman offers complimentary self-guided art and garden audio tours. The art tour provides an insight into the history of selected artworks in the famous Hayman Collection which is on display throughout the resort. The garden tour takes in some of the fascinating botanical species which form part of the island's magnificent garden landscape. Complimentary tours, conducted by the Hayman team, include Kitchen Tours of the vast food preparation areas, Chocolate Room and acclaimed La Fontaine Wine Cellar. Guests can also learn the secrets of cocktail mixing and join regular culinary classes.

Hayman presents resort living in 212 beautifully appointed rooms, suites, penthouses and a villa, situated in Retreat, Pool, Lagoon and Beach Wings, all featuring private terraces or balconies.
The Retreat Wing, comprising Retreat Rooms, is set back from the beach in tropical gardens. This wing is ideal for couples wishing to be nestled in tranquil surrounds amongst magnificent native tree and plant varieties.
The Pool Wing, comprising Pool Rooms, Pool Access, Pool Deluxe and Pool Suites, overlooks the famous Hayman Pool and tropical gardens. Level 3 also offers views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island. This wing is ideal for guests wishing to be close to and enjoy views of the icon pool.
The Lagoon Wing, comprising Lagoon Rooms, Lagoon Deluxe, Lagoon Suites and 11 Penthouses, overlooks the tranquil lagoon, tropical gardens and Lagoon Pool. Level 3 and 4 - the latter housing the resort Penthouses - also offer views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island. This wing offers larger rooms and suites than those in the Pool Wing.
The Beach Wing comprises Beach Front rooms and a private Beach Villa fronting the beautiful Hayman Beach and looking out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring islands.

MARINE
The Marine Centre operates a fully accredited 5-Star PADI Dive and Snorkel Centre, and offers game and bottom fishing trips and private charters, plus exciting watersport pursuits from the Hayman Beach and into the Reef surrounds.

FISHING
The waters surrounding Hayman provide some of the best fishing in the world, with Australian and international records continually established in the region.
The Marine Centre conducts escorted half and full day game and bottom fishing trips as well as private charters. The 12.5 metre game fishing boat, Sun Aura, features a spacious deck to allow smooth, quick and easy access to fishing tackle. Charters include hire, equipment, bait and fuel.
Fishing charters are available on selected days and are subject to boat availability and weather conditions.

CLIMATE
Guests travel to Hayman to bask in a beautiful tropical climate, with warm days, year round swimming and a relaxed atmosphere. Throughout the year, the weather is warm and sultry with January normally the hottest month. The winter months offer warm days with only a light jacket or sweater normally required during the evening. July is traditionally the coolest month.
NATURE
Hayman is a continental island of some 294 hectares (726 acres), rising to 250 metres (820 feet) at its highest point. The resort is located on the southerly shore fronted by a sweeping sandy beach and surrounded by 14 hectares (34 acres) of lush tropical gardens. Beyond the beach lies an 800 metre (2624 foot) wide sand flat with fringing coral reef that is exposed at low tide revealing interesting coral formations and an array of marine life.
A variety of birds inhabit the island, the most likely to be sighted including White Cockatoos, Painted Lorikeets, Kookaburras, Stone Curlews and Kingfisher. From May to November butterflies traditionally swarm in thousands within the confines of shaded gullies feasting on the nectar of the Eucalyptus and other flowering plants.
