Settings
| Stella Maris Chapel, nestled in the hills of the island, is bounded by
a lush, tropical landscape and enjoys breathtaking vistas of the resort,
Whitsunday Passage and neighbouring islands. This stunning outlook, complemented
by the chapel's rich Queensland timbers, ceiling to floor glass walls
and expansive verandah, provides a unique setting for ceremonies of up
to 40 guests.
Ceremonies can also be held in beautiful outdoor island locations, perhaps by tranquil ponds and gentle waterfalls or in manicured gardens, amid colourful flora and shaded by Australia's famous eucalypts. The Formal Garden, an avenue of Phoenix palms and fountains, is a popular choice or, for those wishing to experience Hayman's Reef location, couples may select the white sands of the Hayman Beach fronting the sparkling Coral Sea or one of the resort's white luxury launches or yachts. Beautiful La Fontaine, which is now available exclusively for private functions, offers a sense of grand occasion, created by a combination of soft and rich tonings amid Louis XVI furnishings, Waterford crystal chandeliers and a magnificent central limestone fountain. A Private Dining Room, seating 14 and adjoining La Fontaine is also available for exclusive use. The dinner setting is of Regency Mahogany with room appointments including a dome ceiling painted in 23-carat gold, a Waterford crystal chandelier, 17th Century marble fireplace, 19th Century bronze firedogs and paintings from the Heidelberg School.
