When peace and quiet is what Mum and Dad desire their experienced Kids Club staff are at hand to entertain with plenty of great activities for the children. They will enjoy an array of supervised activities ranging from a treasure hunt, arts and crafts, face painting, fish/bird feeding and much, much more!!!
Their professional qualified Kids Club staff care for children from 4 to 14 years of age all year round (during low seasons Kids Club operation subject to minimum numbers). There is no charge for this service, it is provided to ensure everyone can enjoy all the wonders of Long Island Resort. Children will form friendships with other children affording parents the freedom to enjoy the peace and tranquillity this island paradise provides.
Parents can even enjoy a quiet dinner with Kids Club catering for kids at dinner time too. In fact, the kids will be having so much fun, parents can simply disappear!
Club times and sessions vary according to season.
If your child is under the age of 4 years, they can organise Baby-sitting in your room for an additional charge. Baby sitting is done by off duty, professional staff in the comfort of your hotel room.

GETTING TO THE ISLAND
By Air
The Whitsundays are serviced by two domestic airports, Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island (HTI) and Whitsunday Coast Airport on the mainland at Proserpine (PPP).
From Great Barrier Reef Airport (HTI) Cruise Whitsundays meets flights for a comfortable 30 minute catamaran cruise to Long Island, departing from the jetty located directly at the airport.
From Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP) Cruise Whitsundays offer a streamlined transfer with a 30 minute coach connection directly from the airport to Abel Point Marina in Airlie Beach, where a connecting ferry transfers guests to Long Island in 45 minutes to 1 hour.

By Road
The Whitsundays can be accessed via the Bruce Highway which covers the East
coast of Queensland from Cairns to Brisbane. Dependant on conditions, driving
time from Brisbane is approximately 12 hours north to Airlie Beach and 8 hours south from Cairns.
Secure Car Parking is available at Abel Point Marina.
Regular coach services also operate into Airlie Beach.
By Rail
Regular daily train services depart from Brisbane heading North and from Cairns and Townsville heading South. A Whitsunday Transit Coach service is available from Proserpine Rail Station with launch connections from Abel Point Marina in Airlie Beach to Long Island.

You will endure 9 hours of walking, hiking and climbing but the memories will last forever.
As the sun sets behind the mountains of the Conway National Park, its last light shimmers across the water. A truly magical sight through the palm trees and the Resort surrounds. This also heralds the nightly flight of the fruit bats as they momentarily darken the sky at dusk silently flying across the expansive courtyard and off into the night. The outside world is forgotten as you are submersed in nature's wonders.

Provided is a list of cruises, tours and activities that operate on a daily or regular basis. For your convenience, the majority of the day cruises and tours provide a pick up service direct from their pontoon.
They are on hand to provide any advice or assistance you may require. Bookings for any cruises, tours and activities can be made through us - your travel agent. Booking your tours and transfers prior to arriving at your destination will give your holiday a more relaxed feel, knowing everything has been pre-arranged and finalized.
To enjoy a more relaxed setting when choosing the ideal cruise, tour or activity join them for complimentary fruit punch, cheese and fruits at their Greet, Eat and Meet (GEM) Party! Held everyday at 5.00pm on the Sandbar decking. It is also a wonderful opportunity to talk to other guests and trade previous experiences.

One Day BLUE PEARL BAY Snorkelling Adventure
A two hour sail from the mainland, Blue Pearl Bay boasts some spectacular fringing reef. See beautiful coral and thousands of tropical fish in waist deep water just metres from the beach. For the more adventurous, a short paddle brings you to spectacular coral bommies and the largest Blue Pearl Bay residents like Maori Wrasse and Coral Trout. Snorkelling is supervised and for the inexperienced, instruction is available on board. All snorkelling gear is supplied free of charge. Diving is also available.
