Main Beach is one of the Gold Coasts wonderful open ocean beaches best for swimming, surfing, and early morning walks.
During your visit make sure you drop in to the stylish Main Beach cafés and Restaurants at Tedder Avenue where locals meet for lattes and dine at the finest eating places in main beach. There is also the historic Main Beach Bathing Pavilion to be viewed when you have some free time. Just north of Main Beach lies The Spit - which features a half-kilometer jetty and the theme park Sea World, it has also won two Queensland keep Australia clean awards.

The gold coast city council has recently developed an Artificial Reef to stop erosion in the area, now various dive sites operate there and nearby the Scottish prince ship wreck.
If you feel like adding some exercise into your holiday take a ride on the Bikeway path that runs from popular tourist places Main Beach across the Nerang River to Anzac Park nearby to the Southport Broadwater. There are wheelchair accessible access points at Main Beach plus life saving patrols at Narrowneck and Main Beach.
