The Elandra Mission Beach has 55 rooms nestled amongst the rainforest, a swimming pool with a view to die for, tennis court, restaurant, cocktail bar, conference facilities and private dining rooms. the horizon is perfect for romantic getaways, conferences, weddings and relaxing.
Their unique location allows us to create a tropical tree top feel as our rooms are all interlinked via an elevated timber boardwalk. all the rooms are nestled throughout the rainforest, with most having their own rainforest and ocean views from their private balcony.
They are located approximately half way between cairns and townsville (cairns ~ 1¾ hours, townsville ~ 2½ hours) at the centre of the tropical rainforest and the closest access point to the great barrier reef marine park. the area offers a wide range of tours, walks and activities designed to enhance your experience in paradise. whether you wish to relax and take it easy or if adrenalin pumping activities are more your style, we’re waiting to show you the treasures and magic that our fabulous destination has to offer.

We have superb facilities available to suit small to large groups. with total privacy and seclusion from other guests, you can relax in an enjoyable friendly environment, or for business conferences ‘plan ahead’. situated high on the point, look out towards the coral sea and neighbouring islands, and absorb the inspiration.
Accommodation Information:
All rooms contain either a queen bed or split king configuration, air conditioning, television and austar cable, dvd player, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, clothes iron, hairdryer, std/idd phone, shower/bath and toilet.
Queen Room: these rooms are an open plan hotel style, and contain either a queen size bed or a split king. they are classified as our standard accommodation rooms, each have their own ensuite with bath and shower. a selection of these rooms have a balcony overlooking dunk island, south mission beach and the coral sea.
Queen Suite: the suites are approximately twice the size of the queen rooms, with a large ensuite, dining suite and large patio with tropical rainforest and ocean views.
King Suite: these 2 spacious suites offer stunning views over dunk island and the coral sea. rooms boast a large flat screen television, stereo system, dining suite, split king bed, sofa, separate bath and shower and a large balcony. ideal for honeymooners and vip’s.
Family Room: the family room consists of 2 adjoining rooms. the bedroom contains a queen size bed and ensuite. the living room has a split king bed for extra adults or children with a separate ensuite and limited kitchen facilities.

Location Information:
Mission Beach is now a thriving tourist town that has been able to maintain its small town feel. One reason for this is that the town is spread out along a thin strip of land between the ocean and the hills and farmland behind. This has spread out a large tourism market, and the village doesn't feel as busy as one may expect.
The beach is flanked by green mountains rising just a short distance inland, and provides views out to the Family Islands. Close to shore at Mission Beach lies a shallow reef which runs from the mouth of Porter's Creek at the south end of North Mission Beach almost to Clump Point, the rocky point at the north end of Mission Beach. During very low tides portions of this reef are exposed.
World Heritage rainforest on one side and the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef on the other, Mission Beach is home to many wildlife species, most notable is the cassowary. This large flightless bird can be found in the rainforest surrounding the area but is facing extinction due to land clearing, traffic and predators such as wild dogs and feral pigs.
