Noosa National Park Lookouts

The Noosa National Park is situated only walking distance from the Hastings St Precinct in Noosa heads and adjoins some of the most popular Noosa accommodation. The park is divided into four main sections. These are the Headland section the Perigian section, the Emu Mountain section and the East Weyba section. The headland section is the one most commonly visited as it is connected to the Hastings St region via a boardwalk which follows the ocean front and provides fantastic views of the coastline and the surfers catching the breaks along the shoreline leading out to the headland.

There are a number of walks in this section of the park. The Palm Grove track takes you past groves of Piccabeen palms and Hoop pines. It is a relatively short walk of 1 kilometer and takes only twenty minutes or so. The Tanglewood track is 6.9 kilometers in length and takes in more isolated parts of the park. By far the most spectacular walk is the Coastal track which is 5.4 kilometers long and skirts the shoreline. There are many picturesque views like the one over Ti Tree Bay. The cliffs are fairly high so keep a good eye on children. There are several lookouts along the track which ends on a high bluff at Hell’s Gate. The Noosa Hill track is also about 1 kilometer long and takes one to the top of Noosa Hill. From here you can see out over the Noosa River and away to the north up Teewah Beach towards Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island.
