Hastings Reef - Alive with thousands of vivid tropical fish this Marine Park preserve is famous for it's giant clam gardens, inquisitive Moray Eels and huge Cod.
Breaking Patches - Located off Michelmas Cay, this great location is renowned for its forests of corals, large sea fans, Black Coral Trees, and yielding some 400 species of coral in its shallow lagoons. The Department of Environment and Heritage has granted Compass a special permit to visit this pristine wonder on the reef.

- Reef Tax/Fuel Levy $20.00 per person per day. This charge is a combination of Reef Tax (Government charge to visit National Marine Park - Great Barrier Reef), a Port Charge, a fuel levy and a management fee (this is for a maximum of 3 days charge).

ITINERARY:
- 7:45am - Boarding at Marlin Jetty complimentary coffee & tea served.
- 7.45am - Boarding for 8:00am departure from Marlin Jetty, Cairns at dolphin speed.
- 9:30am - Reef video presentation, snorkel & scuba dive procedures, reef safety orientation.
- 10:30am - 1:30pm - Arrive Hastings Reef, snorkel & scuba dive demonstration, glass bottom boat (Optional Extra), introductory & certified scuba diving (Optional Extra).
- 1:45pm - Glass bottom boat (Optional Extra), swimming & snorkelling, then lunch.
- 2:00pm - Arrive Breaking Patches. Introductory & certified scuba diving (Optional Extra), snorkelling.
- 5:00 - 5:30pm - Return Marlin Jetty, Cairns.
- 5 hours at two different outer great barrier reef locations.
- Tropical buffet lunch - cold meats, healthy salads, tasty pastas & fresh fruit.
- Snorkel equipment & instruction.
- Free scuba diving demonstration & scuba dive instruction.
- Marine Biologist presentation.

On departure it's time to hold on and enjoy the ride - lots of fun and bubbles with our Boom-netting. Cruising back to Cairns at Dolphin speed so keep an eye out for our dolphins as they surf along side most days, sit back, relax or socialise with new friends with a cold drink from our bar, on our spacious sundeck. View the days video and watch the sun go down on one of the seven natural wonders of the world as you enjoy complimentary wine, cheese & tropical fruits.
