5 Day Learn to Dive Course
Cost: $725 per person
2 Days of pool and classroom training at a modern dive training facility, and 3 Days 2 Nights on a premium liveaboard vessel.
Includes:
- PADI Gold Open Water Certification.
- PADI Open Water Manual, dive log book & all stationary.
- 9 dives (4 training dives and 5 pleasure dives - includes 1 night dive).
- Comprehensive dive insurance and all dive equipment (includes long leg wetsuit, dive computer and torches).
- Reef Teach - 2 hour Marine Biology presentation.
- 2 passport photos (needed for certification).
- 3 days/2 nights accommodation On Board Vessel only - all meals, twin share accommodation, bed linen (EMC Charge $15 per person payable direct at end of dive trip).
Additional cost of medical examination is $49.50 (compulsory) payable direct to doctor on Day 1 of dive course.

If you are running short on time or prefer a land based learn to dive options then we can also offer you a 4 day learn to dive course. The first two days are spent learning the theory and underwater skills of diving. At the end of day 2 you are invited to attend Reef Teach". Days 3 and 4 are spent on a fast and modern day boat completing the 4 training dives toward open water certification.
The day boat is TUSA and they have up to 21 possible dive sites they can visit. The water barely drops below 22� Celsius and between December to February is up around 30� Celsius. Visibility is usually between 10 and 30 metres.
Our training centre is located in the city of Cairns and features all the modern facilities need to learn to dive. We also boast Cairns deepest dive pool. At 4.5 metres in the middle students get and excellent idea of what pressure feels like under water.
Inclusions - On land

PADI Open Water Manual in English, German, French, Dutch, Danish or Swedish. If another language is required we have Chinese, Korean, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Spanish for loan.
Inclusions - At Sea
- 2 Days of diving on the Great Barrier Reef
- Morning tea and buffet lunch
- All dive equipment (including Dive Computer)
- Use of prescription mask if necessary
- Log Book
Extras: Reef Tax - $5 per person per day. Fuel Levy - $5 per person per day. Drinks and chocolates from the on board bar. Dive medical in accordance with Australian Standard, A.S 4005-1 (1992). This will be arranged by us day 1 of the course. A fee of $49.50 is payable directly to the doctor.
Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. For example: heart disease, asthma, epilepsy or diabetes. If you are unsure of a particular medical condition, please check with us prior to reservation. Australian medical standards are different to those overseas. A medical obtained in another country will most likely NOT be valid in Australia.
Minimum age is 12 years, no maximum age. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult over the age of 18.

- Please Note: In the interests of safety we recommend that you should not fly or go to any altitude over 300m within 24 hours after your last dive. All prices are in Australian Dollars.
