» Hinchinbrook Island Wilderness Lodge
The Management of the Hinchinbrook Island Wilderness Resort would like to notify everyone that due to unforeseen circumstances the Resort will be closed for the remainder of 2010.
They will notify us as soon as possible as to the opening dates for 2011.
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding of this situation.

Brampton Island is upgrading the resort to become a world class international resort.
Due to this the resort will close from 24 January 2011.
At this stage the resort will remain closed until further notice. We will keep you updated as to when the resort is back up and running.

» La Grande Apartments
Please be advised that the construction of a new building has now started and is taking place on our neighbouring vacant lot on the North/East side of the La Grande Complex. Some noise disturbance may be experienced - December 2010 till early 2012.

» Bedarra Island Resort + Dunk Island Resort
Both Bedarra Island + Dunk Island are closed indefinitely since Tropical Cyclone Yasi, which passed over the islands on 2 and 3 February 2011.
Dunk and Bedarra Island Resorts will not reopen on 1 April 2012 as previously announced.
The extent of the damage from Cyclone Yasi in February and subsequent inclement weather has made it unfeasible for the current owners on their own to attempt a complete refurbishment of the resorts.

» Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast
Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa Gold Coast has announced a full refurbishment plan that will include 293 rooms and suites, accommodation corridors, Lobby, Reception Desk, Guest Lifts, Port Cochere, hotel entry and pool area landscaping, Terraces Restaurant and Breakers Lounge.
Due for completion early - 2012, the refurbishment plans include a dramatic renewal of all guest rooms and suites. Boasting spacious hotel rooms starting from 43sqm, the new luxurious appointments include the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, flat screen televisions, wifi access, custom woven carpets, designer furnishings, casual lounge and dining settings, bedside decor and accessories plus bathroom fittings including tapware, baths, toilets, vanity and refreshed marble surfaces. In room technology enhancements will incorporate environmental benefits and include new LED lighting, intuitive air-conditioning, high speed data and wireless communication and a complete digital entertainment package featuring the latest Movielink system.
All refreshment works will be carried out with the greatest care to ensure that guests are not disrupted and the timeline for the project will flex to meet occupancy demands and ensure that the resort remains fully operational.

Notice for scheduled work on the building:
- The outside painting of the building will commence on the 6.2.12 - 15.6.12
- The inside of the building or apartments will not be affected.
- The outdoor pool will be closed from 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
- The indoor pool, BBQ area, tennis court and car park will NOT be affected.

» BreakFree Beachpoint Resort
Notice for scheduled work:
- Indoor Leisure facilities closure due to re-tiling
- Start date: 14 May 2012
- Finish date: 4 June 2012
Possible Impact:
Loss of facility including indoor pool, spa, sauna and the indoor Men’s and Women’s bathrooms. There will be jack-hammering and a concrete saw in use during the first week and towards the end of the works there will be slight noise associated from a tile cutter.
