Detailed Information

Welcome to Burrum River Caravan Park

Our park has a relaxed garden setting next to the Burrum River, close to Howard. We provide spotless and well-maintained amenities with shared coin laundry facilities.
We offer powered drive-through sites, unpowered sites, and air-conditioned, fully equipped ensuite cabins. All sites are very spacious offering cement slabs or grassed sites, and we can accommodate big rigs. We also have a sewage dump point in the park.
Not only do we welcome pets on our powered and unpowered sites but we offer a free dog wash.
As we only have four cabins we don’t allow pets in them.
Our outdoor pool is a great way to cool down in the warmer months, with a communal fire pit available from 5 pm when our days become cooler. Our pontoon on the river is a great place to sit and relax and catch fish, crabs, and prawns. If you have a boat there is a cement boat ramp across the river from the park.
Our camp kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, toaster, electric jug, and large fridge-freezer. There is also a BBQ available. Our day room which is attached to the camp kitchen is a great place to gather to either watch TV and catch up on the day’s events, use the library, free WiFi, or just relax with a drink and nibbles and talk to friends old and new.
Pop into our reception for tourist information, ice, bait, gas, ice-creams, drinks, and munchies.

This pet-friendly park is situated just 30 minutes from Hervey Bay, with 80 sites on 10 acres overlooking the Burrum River. Spacious and drive-through sites, with natural trees and numerous native birdlife species, you may even get the chance to feed the possums. Centrally located to all tourism centers, close to bowling and golf club & hotels and 15 minutes to the beach. Relax around the pool or catch a fish or crab off the pontoon or jetty. Seniors discount available.

We are the new owners of the Burrum River Caravan Park.
Our names are Terry & Debbie Langfield and we took over the park in November 2017.
We have been busy making many improvements, upgrading the bottom amenities, gardens
revamped, painting and re-roofing of the reception building, and organizing the internet for
visitors when the NBN arrives in four to six weeks.
We still have the pontoon for dropping a line in down on the river and the pool for when the weather is right.
We can accommodate tents, small to large vans and motor homes, and converted buses.
There are four cabins, two for families and two for couples. Everything is supplied in them.
We are also pet-friendly with a dog wash for your precious one.
The park is only two and a half kilometers from the small town of Howard, but it has
everything you need there. Even the Grand Hotel supplies a crusty bus if you want a night out. Howard also has fantastic markets on the first Saturday of each month. Sometimes up to 110 sites to visit.
Maryborough and Hervey Bay are only 20-25 minutes away.
Hope to see you for a night or a week, however long you stay you can enjoy the openness of the sites and the quietness of the park.
