Enjoy camping at one of our two picturesque campgrounds – Captain Logan & Lumley Hill at Lake Wivenhoe. Enjoy a relaxing stay with natural shade and vegetation or get out on the water for recreational activities. We have an abundance of wildlife kangaroos, pelicans, ducks, possums and a wide variety of bird life. We have tent sites, unpowered and powered drive-on sites, full amenities at both campgrounds and barbeque facilities at Captain Logan campground.
Many of our dams, lakes and parks are open for the community to enjoy activities such as swimming, boating, fishing and camping.
These relaxing, picturesque environments can give a false sense of security, as accidents can still happen if visitors get complacent.

Lake Wivenhoe, more commonly referred to as Wivenhoe Dam, is a haven for those who enjoy water-based recreation particularly for kayaking,canoeing and fishing. The water is very calm due to the lack of powered boats which makes for an enjoyable, relaxing experience.
Lumley Hill Campground is situated on a hill overlooking the Lake. There are 10 powered drive on sites (with water), 18 drive on sites (no power) and 6 tent sites. There are full amenities with free hot showers.
A dump point is provided for cassette toilets only and it is located at Lumley Hill Campground near the amenities block. There is no dump point for portaloo, motor home or caravan toilets at Captain Logan Campground.
Campfires must be contained in an enclosed drum, brazier or similar (which you must provide) and must only be placed at designated fire pit locations. Under no circumstances are fires permitted on the ground or outside designated locations.
Pets are not permitted.
