At different times of the year, in different regions, the weather can play an important role in where and what specials will be on offer. For instance, in Far North Queensland, the summer months or from mid December through to late March which is the wet season and there are usually specials on offer in places like Port Douglas, beautiful Palm Cove or Cairns. During the same period of time, if you were planning a trip to the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast, it is unlikely that you would find any holiday or accommodation specials.
Most accommodation and package rates are set for three seasons which are the high season when rates are at their highest, shoulder season and low season when rates are at their lowest. Special offers and packages are generally offered during the latter two depending on their volume of bookings at the time. This is especially true of the Whitsundays region and places like Hamilton Island in particular who put out their rates over twelve months in advance so they can be included in overseas travel agents brochures.
Places through central Queensland like Airlie Beach and Hervey Bay often have accommodation specials on offer as they are not as well known as say Noosa or Mooloolaba or even Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.
The links in this page will take you directly to a specials page for that destination so you can access all the Queensland accommodation and Holiday package specials in the major tourist destinations very quickly.
