Sam grew up in regional Victoria and has been writing about Australia for almost two decades. The destination guides on this site are theirs — best season to visit, what travellers are actually doing once they get there, what's overrated, what's underrated. Always carrying a paper map as backup; once stopped a four-day road trip because the pub in a sub-100-person town apparently 'served the best schnitzel north of Bendigo'. (It did.)
