What to expect

You'll board at Raby Bay and spend the afternoon on a dual-hull catamaran built for stability. Early on, crew members show you the basics of sailing—trimming sails, steering into the wind—so you can take a turn at the helm if keen. Between sailing segments, the boat anchors in calm shallows where you can paddle board, swim, or simply float on the aqua mat. The crew serve platters of cured meats, cheese and fresh fruit; you're welcome to bring wine or beer (non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary). Wildlife sightings happen naturally—turtles surface, dolphins pass by—but aren't guaranteed. Weather permitting, paddleboards are available; otherwise you'll swim or lounge topside.

Good to know

Bring sunscreen, hat and a towel. Suitable for all fitness levels, though you'll be more comfortable if you're not nervous around water. Public transport serves the area.
