Rainbow Beach is a very pleasant coastal town with modern holiday amenities, many styles of accommodation - a really top place for a lazy holiday for all ages. The Forty Mile Beach strip down the coast to Noosa can be traversed by 4WD - however the crossing of Double Island Point requires skill and careful attention to tides and sand conditions.
On the way to Noosa Heads you will pass the coloured sands - a natural occurrence of many layers of brilliant ochre shades.
