Sometimes, nobody in your group can decide what they want to eat. At this point, you should go to The Collective, located in the former Palm Beach post office, where you may enjoy a single, expansive menu with dishes from five different chefs and table service.

You could have a meal that would take you anywhere in the globe in one sitting, combining American, Greek, Asian, Mexican, and Italian cuisines. The indoor-outdoor setting makes this an ideal place to set up for a relaxed supper. The rooftop bar is perfect for sunset drinks as the sun sets and the fairy lights come on.

2. Surfers Paradise palette

Palette is a two-hatted Gold Coast restaurant in Surfers Paradise’s HOTA (Home of the Arts), where food is edible art.

To celebrate a recent pop-art exhibition, the fine-dining establishment made headlines by creating an edible version of Andy Warhol’s iconic Campbell’s soup can, bursting with chocolate, strawberries, and cream.

They later teamed up with the legendary Marco Pierre White for an exclusive dinner. However, a trip to Palette is a veritable sensory extravaganza. Executive Chef Dayan Hartill-Law expertly prepares Elegant Modern Australian cuisine influenced by the exhibitions, and every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a sumptuous High Tea is served.

3. Eddy+ Wolff

Relatively unknown to foodies, Eddy & Wolff is a 22-seat Asian bar and restaurant that serves excellent, contemporary fare in Robina. This chic restaurant offers a share-style menu divided between larger dishes and BBQ snacks, but after seeing the plates served from the kitchen, you should keep the plates private.

Await delectable delicacies like their famous “Baby Pho,” a 48-hour boiling bone broth made from a traditional family recipe that dates back a long time. You’ll agree that this is undoubtedly one of the greatest restaurants on the Gold Coast when you pair your meals with Eddy & Wolff’s assortment of rare sake and Japanese whiskey.

4. Restaurant Labart

When Sydney chef Alex Munoz Labart and his Gold Coast-raised wife Karla established their first restaurant in Burleigh Heads, the Gold Coast’s culinary reputation took a step forward. This cozy 60-seat cafe, which won The Courier Mail’s finest rural restaurant award in Queensland, adds a touch of European refinement to the area’s eating scene.

Diners get a front-row seat to witness Alex and his brilliant crew work their magic in the open-plan kitchen and charcoal grill at Restaurant Labart. With a rotating selection of small and large plates, snacks, and ethically and locally produced ingredients, modern Australian cuisine is meant to be shared.

Led by renowned Executive Chef Chase Kojima, Kiyomi is plating excellence. This chic Japanese restaurant is on The Star Gold Coast’s mezzanine level. It is quietly lighted, enhanced by candles, dark furniture, and warm wood feature walls.

All of the items on the menu, which includes melt-in-your-mouth sashimi platters, seared scampi with foie gras, Hiramasa Kingfish miso ceviche, and binchotan Wagyu, are artistically crafted to resemble delicious artwork.

Still, trying to figure out where to begin? It’s a foodie’s dream come true, so we suggest handing the reins over and treating yourself to their exclusive twenty-course omakase degustation. Easily one of the greatest restaurants on the Gold Coast.

6. Little Truffle

Little Truffle, a renowned eating establishment on Mermaid Beach, has reopened its famous timber doors after an incredible million-dollar makeover. Daniel Ridgeway, a well-known chef and restaurateur, and his spouse, Ruggie, are the masterminds behind the much-awaited revival of their prestigious fine-dining sanctuary, Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar.

The restaurant has undergone an incredible million-dollar makeover, including interior design, furnishings, kitchen, and menu redesigning.

The Moreton Bay bug and prawn tortellini are among the well-known signature dishes on the recently unveiled Little Truffle menu, which is equally impressive as before. The wood-fired oven has also produced some stunning new dishes.

7. Palette

The elegant restaurant Palette, which graces the ground level of the magnificent HOTA Gallery, provides a distinctive fusion of cuisine and art. They have received 14 Australian Good Food Guide Chef Hat points for their well-chosen wine selection, degustation menus, and innovative, fresh Australian cuisine. Treat your palette, if you will.

The palette extends your art experience with its brilliant Executive Chef Dayan Hartill-Law, who shows you how art and cuisine go together organically by drawing inspiration from significant exhibitions at the HOTA Gallery. The location exudes creativity and has organic elements like stone and wood, which meld to create a breathtaking area.

8. The North Room

Are you looking for a great place to pamper your significant other or go on a date night on the Gold Coast? The North Room, a little café on Mermaid Beach, has us completely smitten.

The creation of the renowned husband and wife team Tim and Shannon Stewart, take a seat in this chic 20-seat dining room and prepare to be pampered with an exquisite European-style dining experience. This combines flawless service, a smooth, buttery atmosphere, and a set-tasting menu highlighting the best locally sourced, in-season produce.

A few inventive and delicious meals are the Pottsville pipis with green zebra tomato and pumpkin or the spanner crab and bone marrow crumpet. Since the North Room is only available from Thursday through Saturday, reservations are required well in advance to ensure a spot.

9. Rick Shores

This Burleigh waterfront favourite has lust-worthy vistas across the table and some of the most delectable share-style dishes we’ve nestled our knife and fork into. Its carefully curated pan-Asian menu has modern cuisine from Vietnam, Thailand, and beyond.

After dishes like soft shell crab on betel leaf, Rick’s renowned Moreton Bay bug rolls, kingfish sashimi, and yellow curry with king prawns, you won’t be let down.

Warm advice? Plan your evening around Rick Shores’ outside patio chairs, perfect for a glass of wine or a cold beer while enjoying a view. Plus, the golden hour just before sunset is charming.
