North Shore

Bordered by both the beautiful Maroochy River and surf beach on the southern tip of Mudjimba, this wide slice of wild sandy paradise is one of the best-kept secret off-leash beaches perfect for your dogs.

Sunshine Beach

One of the best doggie beaches in Sunshine Coast is located on the southside of Noosa National park. This stretch of surf beach is protected with plenty of room for dogs of all sizes to run freely.


Dogs can take their pick of cooling off in Stumers Creek saltwater or roughing it in the surf at this highly famous Coolum off-leash beach. This is a perfect spot for the family too.

Palm Beach

Nestled in the southern Gold Coast is an off-leash beach with the wow factor. Here, the dogs can chase the stick on the adjacent surf beach or paddle to their heart’s content in stunning Currumbin Creek.


Situated at the north of the Palm Beach surf lifesaving club, this Gold Coast off-leash beach runs all the way to the rocky groin dividing the surf beach from the famous Tallebudgera Creek.

This long stretch of surf beach with plenty of digging and running options and the opportunity to hike all the way to Bongaree, this is truly a worth a day trip to Bribie Island.

Doggy Beach

Just 3 mins from Hastings Street, this protected crescent of sand and perfect beach for the dog-paddling outback of Noosa Woods has a stunning backdrop that even the whole family will truly enjoy.

Red Beach

This Bribie island connects with Woorim, although a bit woollier and wilder than Woorim beach yet with an abundance of water, sand, and vine-covered dunes.


This one is worth checking out as it is more of a sunshine coast locals-in-the-know off-leash beach. It is a 1km strip of sand and surf with heaps of room for the energetic dogs who love to run wild.

Nudgee Beach

This Northside Beach bookended by mangroves and a well-equipped off-leash dog park is one of Brisbane’s most famous canine haunts. Going at dawn or dusk is recommended to avoid 4-legged crowds.
