Rainbow Beach is an area where the fishing is pristine. You can go beach fishing, which is really popular, or rock fishing from Double Island Point. Fishing cruises on the Great Sandy Straits or over the Wide Bay bar to offshore reefs and bommies are also available with local charter operators. The Great Sandy Straits are also a fantastic place to go on a fishing tour.
Any holiday in Rainbow Beach can only be improved by learning to fish in the local waters or by having a great day out aboard one of the local fishing charter’s boats.
