Surfers Paradise Whale Watching

Gold Coast whale watching tours are available from the Southport broadwater and coach pick ups from Surfers Paradise accommodation can be easily arranged through the tour desk at your resort. The tours leave from the marina complex at the Surfers Paradise end of the broadwater.

There are a number of whale watching charters available in Surfers Paradise, each offering their own unique experience. Most of which commence at 8am, and offer both morning and afternoon trips. Some offer pick up shuttle from your accommodation. One of the more prominent whale watch charters is Whales in Paradise, which proudly sport a 100% sighting record and operating between early June and late October. Whale watchers will see southern humpback whales during their annual migration between antarctica and the tropical waters of central Queensland where they go to give birth and mate. During the return migration, later in the season, there will always be mothers with young calves making the migration south. Gold Coast whale watching trips all operate on the open ocean so you may need to take sea sickness preparations if you succumb to this.
