GETTING TO HAYMAN ISLAND
From Hamilton Island
The best way to get to Hayman is to fly to Hamilton Island Airport, from here Hayman has direct transfers to the island; Luxury Launch, Seaplane* and Helicopter*. All are connected to Hamilton Island’s incoming and outgoing flights.

Luxury Launch Transfer
The launch to Hayman takes one hour on a luxury white cruiser and offers staying guests refreshments and passes through the magnificent Whitsunday Passage, where passengers can enjoys the spectacular views of Hayman Island. Upon arrival, guests will be personally escorted to their room as all check in formalities will have been completed when boarding the cruiser. During the crossing to Hayman, guests can already book tours, activities, and dining options.
Via Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island)
Virgin Australia operates services from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane into Great Barrier Reef Airport.
Qantas operates services from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns into Great Barrier Reef Airport.
Jetstar operates services from Sydney into Great Barrier Reef Airport.
Hayman’s launches, seaplanes and helicopters meet all incoming and outgoing flights at Great Barrier Reef Airport.
Via Proserpine Whitsunday Coast Airport
Virgin Australia operates services from Brisbane into Proserpine Airport.
Jetstar operates services from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane into Proserpine Airport.
Guests are able to connect to a coach transfer from Proserpine Airport to the Port of Airlie to take a their boat transfer to Hayman Island. Please note some flights may not receive same day transfers.
Helicopter
Hayman can be also accessed directly by chartered helicopter from Hamilton Island or Airlie Beach. Helicopter transfers costs are in addition to resort bookings.
Seaplane
Travel from Hamilton Island or Shute Harbour. The flying time is approximately 20 minutes, and has a maximum 4 to 5 person capacity. Prices on application.
Private Charter Flights
If you are looking to travel at your convenience, Air Whitsunday operates a fleet of private seaplanes. They provide transfers from the following ports; Great Barrier Reef Airport, Whitsunday Airport, Proserpine Airport, Mackay Airport and Townsville Airport.
