Surfers Paradise Activities

The activities that you can engage in, while on holidays in Surfers Paradise, can entertain the entire family for weeks. There are always plenty of travel activities to engage in, no matter where your interest lies. Obviously, the sensational beach is at the top of the list and beach activities include surfing, swimming, sunbaking and kite surfing. During the day, the beaches are all patrolled by the members of the local surf life saving club.

The Cavill Avenue mall is the center of activities in the city. Here you will find many arcades and pedestrian malls that offer a maze of boutique and souvenir shops. There are also dozens of great cafes and restaurants. Tourist attractions like Ripley’s believe it or Not, provide great fun and interest for the children. The great thing about most of these activities is that they are only walking distance from your beachfront holiday accommodation.

In the Surfers Paradise hinterland there are a multitude of attractions. Get up early one morning and take a hot air balloon ride over the coast. Take a tour into the mountain ranges behind the Gold Coast and see the spectacular scenery. Go flying in an ancient biplane and experience the nausea of a loop the loop. Let dad take the boys on an offshore fishing charter and bring home a tasty dinner or go on a local whale watching cruise. Play golf on one of the many sensational golf courses on offer.

The most important activities in Surfers Paradise, as far as the kids are concerned, will be a day or two at the Gold Coasts fabulous theme parks. Seaworld is close by at its Southport Spit location. Dreamworld and Movieworld are a short bus ride away at Coomera and each has a range of attractions and activities that will enthrall your children for days. The worst thing any parent could do is to take the kids on a Surfers Paradise holiday and not take the kids to the theme parks.

You will find that Surfers Paradise is the home of the best holiday activities in the country.
