Brisbane holiday will surprise you. In a city where you would expect to be a corporate market, many activities and attractions make this a fantastic holiday destination. Brisbane has its own international airport and attracts flights from around the world. It also has a vibrant accommodation industry. The Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast are within easy reach and day tours are available to take you to the best attractions of both of these famous tourist havens.

Brisbane lies on the shores of Moreton Bay and experiences a temperate climate. Moreton Bay itself is formed by the twin sand islands that make up its eastern shore. Moreton Island and Stradbroke Islands are both fantastic holiday destinations in their own right and have endless beaches, lakes, and forests. Both are home to great resorts. Tangalooma resort lies on the eastern shore of Moreton Island and Couran Cove Resort is on Stradbroke Island. Tangalooma in particular is famous for its magnificent calm water beach and the wild dolphins that come here every night to take food from the hands of visitors. Both are serviced by fast passenger catamarans as well as vehicular barge services.

North Brisbane

Brisbane accommodation can be found in almost any part of the city. Southbank is popular, as is the city center where you can find a place to stay that is close to Suncorp Stadium or the Gabba if you are going to include a cricket match or maybe a state-of-origin rugby league match in your itinerary. Day tours are available to the theme parks on the gold coast or Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo so if you are on holiday with the kids, there are lots to keep them occupied. Brisbane also has wildlife parks where you can touch Australia’s unique native animals such as koalas and kangaroos.

In a city like Brisbane which is located between two major tourist destinations, there is always plenty of holiday specials to make your holiday a success.
